so, after the horror and controversy of packing ryan's apartment, we are FINALLY done with life in baltimore. and i have to say, it was really strange to leave.
here's why i'm not funny:
the day we left, the yankees were in town, and on one of our trips in the elevator, jc (ryan's roommate) and I got on with two guys, one of whom was wearing a yankees jersey. here was the conversation:
me: so, you guys going out dancing tonight, or what?
them: (looking puzzled)
me: well, just 'cause you're dressed for it.
non yankees jersey guy: ha!
yankees guy: (GLARE)
me: salsa? samba? no? allrighty.
it was an awkward ride.
as we were driving out of town to ryan's parents house (at 10:45 at night, ahem...), i kept thinking about very specific moments that i'd shared with people in very specific places. and just when i started to get nostalgic, i remembered that most, if not all, of the people i was thinking of in my memories no longer live in baltimore. and i felt really good about leaving. it kind of feels like it's the end of my young adulthood phase of life, and i'm ready to be done. so whoo hoo for me.
here are some pics of ryan's apartment after we (and by we, i mostly mean I!) finished cleaning and packing and etc, etc., etc....
tomorrow we are going to live large in nyc, with trips to the central park zoo, moma, lunch with miss annie, and avenue q. here's to no puking this time...
